Green Onion Chip Dip
Green Onion Chip Dip is the 5-ingredient dip recipe you need for game day season!
This super bowl appetizer is the quick recipe you’ve got to try!
Green Onion Chip Dip goes from a holiday cocktail party to Game Day snack in no time.
It’s about time we move the usual ranch-spinach-blue cheese dips to the side, and let this stunner absolutely shine in the spotlight!
Just 5 simple ingredients that you might just have on hand—stir them up, let them sit, and serve them with a big platter of #allthethings.
We’re all very aware of the usual spinach dip recipe that graces every appetizer table spread, ever…Let’s take our favorite Duke’s Mayonnaise and mix it with a few ingredients to create a zesty dip your friends will be asking for over and over!
If you’re constantly on the hunt for easy dip recipes you can swirl together in less than 10 minutes, then THIS is about to become your go-to recipe!
The green onions give this simple dip recipe the oniony flavor you want, without the package.
Sour cream adds a cool, tanginess to the dip.
And the Duke’s Real Mayonnaise is the creamy addition every good dip recipe needs.
Duke’s Mayonnaise is a southern belle’s staple mayo, and no household is complete without their jar in the fridge (and a couple more in the pantry, just in case!).
It’s the bold, palate-thrilling southern flavor that might just be missing in your life! Why not ring in the new year with some twang!?
That yellow and red label is undeniable and you’ll love its tangy flavor, no sugar (which means it’s perfect for my keto/low carb friends!), and the fact that it’s a brand trusted by professional chefs and home cooks alike.
If your store doesn’t sell this delicacy, you can order from their website, or on Amazon.
Do y’all know all the ways you can use Duke’s, not just in a sandwich?!

Y’all know how much I L-O-V-E a snack board, and this Green Onion Chip Dip transforms any snack platter into *exactly* what you needed.
So, here’s the deal on this recipe…
It’s extremely versatile!
Serve this with hearty kettle-cooked chips for a crispy crunch that holds up to the hearty dip. It’s like eating a real-deal sour cream and onion chip!
What kind of chips go with green onion chip dip?
Any hearty, kettle-cooked chip will be perfect! Or those ruffly ones. You want a heartier chip than a plain potato chip.
Tortilla chips are great, to!
If you’re riding the Low Carb/Keto Train, dip veggies into this refreshing dip and keep on track! I loved dipping my bell peppers in this for a few days…
And if you’re into ‘Couchgating’ ((you know where you have a tailgate from the comfort of your living room and holey yoga pants!)), dip a BBQ chicken wing into this dip and transform your usual blue cheese/ranch dip into something so much better!
Questions you may have…
Can you eat the white part of the green onion?
Yes! Of course, don’t eat the hairy bit, but everything else on the green onion is delicious! If you want to keep your dip a little less onion-breath, just use the green parts.
((But, seriously…you’re making an onion dip, there’s no way around onion-breath!))

About to make this. Really, REALLY wish I could judge a recipe based on ratings, but everyone on here that rated it hasn’t made it yet. So I am following suit and screwing up metrics for anyone on the internet who felt the need to make a green onion dip.
Moral of the story is: MAKE IT FIRST. THEN COMMENT. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
Thankssomuch.
Good starting point. Made 1/2 batch as described, and found it to be a little flat. Made another 1/2 batch and subbed in some Old Bay and steak seasoning for 2/3 of the pepper and subbed in celery salt for 1/2 the salt. Perfect.
I’m glad your dip recipe turned out so well!
