Final Hosting Tip:
Make it even easier by pre-filling the egg whites with classic deviled egg filling and letting guests add their own toppings!
How I prep my eggs to travel! While owning a deviled egg “crate” is cool, I don’t have the space to store this contraption for the 1-2 times I would need it a year.
Instead, here is how I take my deviled eggs on the go.
First, I put all the hollow whites in a safe, sturdy container. My go-to containers currently are the Rubbermaid Brilliance ones. I use the 4.7 cup size, and it easily fits 24 egg halves. Could fit twice that, I think!
I make my egg filling, then scrape it into a cake piping bag that has the tip attached. I tape off the ends of the piping bag, then use a chip clip to keep the top secure so the filling doesn’t spill out!
When you get where you’re going, you can place your eggs on your platter, pipe your filling in, and voila! You have beautiful eggs, ready for service!
