How to Make Caesar Chicken Wings
Okay, people. Listen, I have a cheeky hack for “making” chicken wings.
I head into my Publix grocery store and buy them pre-fried.
While you can make your wings in your air fryer or oven, and I have plenty of recipes for those methods, the reheated Publix wings are my favorite!
Other Methods for Making Chicken Wings
- Extra Crispy Air Fryer Wings
- Grilled Chicken Wings
- Jalapeno Apricot Chicken Wings (with a tried & true oven method!)
Okay, so back to the Publix (or your grocery!) chicken wings.
We’re starting with cold wings, y’all.
Right from the fridge!
Place your purchased groceries in an air fryer basket or a half-sheet pan, leaving some space between each chicken wing.
Pro Tip: When roasting anything, leave room between each item. The closer items are together, the more they steam. This goes for pan-searing on the stovetop, too!
You’ll roast your wings in your air fryer or oven at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes. Remember, they’re already cooked, so you must reheat and crisp up the skin.
I like saucy wings and have a little method for “wrapping” the sauce around each wing.
After 8 minutes, I’ll add the hot wings to a bowl with the sauce, tossing each to coat evenly.
I place them back into the air fryer or oven for 3 minutes and sauce them again. Depending on how they look, I’ll do this 2-3 times.
The sauce adheres to each wing, and since most of my sauces have some sort of sugar, they get little browned bits on them. I am adding even more texture to your wings. Simply delish!
Caesar Wings
All right, so you can go the bottled Caesar dressing route if you want to.
I have yet to find a bottled, store-bought caesar that doesn’t have some sort of process after-taste that I don’t like.
However, making my Caesar Dip is so simple! You probably have the ingredients on hand!
You’ll need lemon juice, black pepper (lots of it!), Worcestershire sauce, anchovy paste if you have it, mayonnaise, lots of parmesan cheese, and Dijon mustard. I also like to grate in a couple of small garlic cloves.
When I’m making the dip version, I like to add green onions and capers if I have them. I left them out for the wings.
Toss your wings into a large bowl and drizzle in the sauce.
Using stainless steel tongs, move your wings around so they get coated in the Caesar dressing.
Then, place the wings back onto your baking sheet or baking tray for your air fryer.
Since the dressing contains parmesan cheese, each wing will have a crispy crust.
Grate extra parmesan cheese for a fancy garnish, and you’re ready to serve!
Serve extra dressing on the side and maybe some romaine lettuce chips instead of celery!
