I hosted a “Tini Weenie Party” to usher in the New Year with friends at home, and we had a ball! 🪩
Let’s chat about the martini recipes I created for the evening and all the appetizers we served at this fun cocktail party.

How to Host a Tini Weenie Party
First, we’re going to chat about the martinis.
I chose three martinis to serve throughout the evening.
- Citrus Crush
- Vesper
- Chocolate
The evening started with my favorite, Citrus Crush Martini! It’s a nod to a Raleigh Farmer’s Market drink I absolutely love.
A Citrus Crush is made with the juices of one orange, a lemon, a lime, a little simple syrup, and a maraschino cherry.
It is so refreshing! I love making it into a cocktail.
I used all the fruit juices and added vodka and Cointreau for the martini.
It was the clear winner of the night! Just saying…
The mid-eating martini was my absolute favorite martini of all time: The Vesper.
It is BOOZY WOOZY! Most of my friends weren’t into it.
It is all booze:
- Lillet Blanc
- Gin
- Vodka
Too many of these and you will be on the floor, or maybe dancing on the table tops!
I wanted to close the evening with a Chocolate martini.
Bailey’s Chocolate liqueur and Cointreau were in the shaker for this one. I added a little milk to make it go further and not be *quite* as boozy.
All of these martinis are what I call “halvsies.” The cute Nick and Nora glasses hold just shy of 5 ounces, but I knew the martinis needed to be half-sized because we were having so many!
Appetizers for a Tini Weenie Party
Let’s chat about the weenies for the tinis and weenies party!
I used cocktail sausages and put them inside hot dog buns.
I cut a normal hot dog bun into thirds to fit the cocktail weiners into the buns. I used the little sausage to guide the first couple of weenies and ensured every dog had a bun!
The teenie hot dogs were served with coupe glasses filled with mustard, ketchup, and barbecue sauce.
Friends brought a veggie platter with a dilly dip, shrimp remoulade, hot crab dip, and melting potatoes.
I took an All the Onion Cheeseball from the freezer and served it with Club Crackers.
Bacon-Wrapped Little Smokies were a huge hit! What isn’t to love about brown sugar and bacon wrapped around a little sausage?!
My usual Deviled Egg recipe was a hit, too.
We also had a delicious Champagne Cake from Caroline’s Cakes. And it might have been the best cake I’ve ever had! It’s not too sweet, just perfect.
Making Your Party EXTRA-Ordinary
I ordered little food picks from Amazon with multicolored balls on the end—sort of sticking with the disco ball theme!
The drink tree had disco balls and lights hanging on it, and each glass had a bow hand tied around it.
To make the New Year’s Eve celebration extraordinary, each friend took home a disco ball keychain I had handwritten a wish for them. At random, my people “drew” a disco ball keychain with a note.
I used ChatGPT to help me come up with clever wishes correlating with the disco ball theme:
- “May your New Year sparkle and shine like a disco ball, reflecting the joy and rhythm of each moment.”
- “Wishing you a dazzling New Year filled with glittering moments and dance-floor joy beneath the disco lights.”
- “May your path in the new year be as radiant as a disco ball, guiding you to moments of happiness and celebration.”
- “Wishing you a year ahead that’s a symphony of joy, just like the colorful lights dancing on a disco ball.”
- “As the disco ball spins, may your New Year twirl with excitement, laughter, and the rhythm of pure happiness.”
- “May your New Year be a disco dream, with every twist and turn bringing you closer to a dance of success and fulfillment.”
- “Here’s to a New Year that mirrors the brightness of a disco ball, reflecting the best moments of love, laughter, and success.”
- “Wishing you a year ahead that’s as lively and vibrant as a disco ball, filled with music, laughter, and endless celebration.”
So fun, right?!
A last-minute order from Anthropologie was these “Dinner Dares” cards, which were a giant hit! I’m a huge fan of conversation cards for a party, but these are a little more than that. One said, “Speak in an English accent for five minutes.”
