Microblogging with Social Media
Microblogging is a quick and easy way to “post” using social media audiences —
without having to create an entirely new blog post.
Are you overwhelmed with posting on your blog day after day?! For me, a blog post can take a minimum of two hours to “produce” and that’s a simple post! No custom photography, graphics, etc! And food posts take WAY longer!
Here is a super simple solution: using social media for quick tips & tricks = MICRO BLOGGING.
Use your social media channels to “micro blog” and add helpful tips for your audience. This is especially great, since most of the time these need to be “candid” posts, in real life.
Here are some examples of times I’ve “microblogged”
This is helpful when you have a super simple recipe you love to make over and over! You know it doesn’t need to be an entire post — just a quick, “here’s how I roast my veggies!” “Here’s my easy beef tenderloin recipe!”
I love doing this when I’m setting up for a dinner party… I can quickly add my tips as I’m doing them in real time. “Here’s how I shine my silver in the sink before each party.” “Move your chairs away from the table while setting it, so you can easily access the center, and move freely around it.” “Set timers for yourself, and have your game plan visible at all times!”
These can all be combined into one long post — but, why?! You’ll still have the same eyes on it via social media, and it took you all of 3 minutes to post!
I have LOVED taking the daily pressures of posting away, and using microblogging the majority of the week.
