Baked Pimento Cheese with Hot Honey

I recently made this recipe for a party I hosted with just appetizers.

Southern Living recently stated that the 1970s Buffet Party was making a comeback. Y’all, it never went out of style in my home!

Here’s what I’d serve at my next Appetizer Buffet Party:

Swiss Onion Dip — y’all, this can bake right alongside the Hot Honey Pimento Cheese Dip. And served with the same tortilla chips or dippers of choice!

Italian Triple Dipper — people will never leave this one spot on your buffet. I promise!

3-Ingredient Meatballs — you know the drill! These are a choose-your-own-adventure type of meatball. But it’s so delicious!

Classic Deviled Eggs — it’s not a Southern party without the deviled eggs!

Hot Honey Buffalo Chicken Skewers — made in your air fryer, these are a hit!

FAQ:

1. Can I use store-bought pimento cheese for this recipe?
Yes, you can use store-bought pimento cheese for convenience, but homemade will provide a fresher and more flavorful result.

2. What can I serve with this dip?
Serve with crackers, toasted baguette slices, pretzels, fresh vegetables, or even tortilla chips for a crunchy contrast.

3. How spicy is this dip?
The spiciness can be adjusted based on your preference. Mike’s hot honey provides a mild kick, but you can add extra hot sauce or red pepper flakes for more heat. I used a teaspoon of TPain + Spicewalla’s Straight Fire Seasoning! You can substitute cayenne pepper like the recipe card notes suggests.

4. Can I make this dip ahead of time?
Yes! Prepare the dip up to a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. When ready to serve, simply bake until hot and bubbly.

5. How do I store leftovers?
Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.

6. Can I freeze this dip?
While you can freeze the unbaked dip, the texture may change slightly upon reheating. It’s best enjoyed fresh or refrigerated and reheated within a few days.
