How to Make Homemade Peach Iced Tea
Here’s the equipment you’ll need:
First, we’ll make the Peach Simple Syrup.
Start by removing the skin from the peaches.
Slice peaches thin, discarding the pit.
Next, add peaches, 1 cup water, and 1 cup granulated sugar to a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
Crush the peaches and let simmer for 10 min.
Remove from heat, cover, and let infuse until a syrup develops (25-30 mins) be sure to stir occasionally.
Once the syrup is completed bring 8-9 cups of water to a boil over the stovetop.
Pour the peach simple syrup through a fine-mesh sieve, into a measuring cup.
Be sure to place your measuring cup UNDER the sieve… I can say without shame, I’ve dumped simple syrup all over the counter multiple times… ?♀️
Now, you’ll end up with the peaches without the juice. SAVE THESE FOR LATER!
Over ice cream, it’s delightful…
Steep tea bags 4-5 mins then remove.
Place in fridge to chill.
After the syrup is completed pour into tea and stir together.
This is one of those syrups you’ll make over and over, and find 4000 uses for!
