Dynamite Burger Recipe
This Dynamite Burger Recipe is everything you want for summertime grilling,
filled with spicy sauce, melty cheese, bacon, and Duke’s Mayonnaise!
Summertime should be filled with grilling and chilling, and I’ve got a *fabulous* burger recipe for you!
Duke’s Mayo and Roy Rogers have teamed up to create a burger that I haven’t tried, but they’re running a contest, and I couldn’t say no to my ride and joy, Duke’s!
They asked Instagram to create a burger based around Roy Roger’s new Dynamite Burger.
Roy Rogers Dynamite Burger has…
- Beef Patty
- Pepper Jack Cheese
- Bacon
- Duke’s Mayo Chipotle Ranch
- Jalapeno Poppers
So, my last name is Berger, and I actually make a *mean* burger.
I don’t share a lot of burger recipes on here, so this is super exciting!
Let’s get started making my version of the Dynamite Burger…
My version has…
- Beef Patty
- Chipotle Comeback Sauce
- Jalapeno Pimento Cheese
- Bacon
- Bread and Butter Pickles
- Duke’s Mayo
What do you need for the burger?
- Ground Beef, 80/20
- Montreal Steak Seasoning
- Worcestershire Sauce
In a big bowl, combine your seasoning with your burger meat.
What kind of burger meat should I use for the best burger?
Ground Chuck. And that’s all there is to say.
Mix your meat up so the seasonings are distributed well.
Flatten it all together in the bowl, into one big even hunk. (Classy, huh?!)
Score your meat into four sections with your hands.
This is just over a pound of meat, which makes four nice sized burgers. Not too big, not too small.
Shape into patties, and press a little well into the center.
Yes! These patties were placed on the tray with leftover bacon grease.
No, you do not have to do this… But, it’s going the extra mile, which I’m all about.
Let your burgers hang out — you can make these the night before, and just wrap tight and keep in the fridge until you’re ready to grill the next day.
Speaking of working ahead of time, here are all the things you can do ahead of time for this burger:
- Make the Jalapeno Pimento Cheese. ((Exchange the pimentos for chopped pickled jalapenos and you’re set!))
- Roast your bacon using this recipe.
- Make your Chipotle Comeback Sauce.
- Season and shape your burger patties.
Chipotle Comeback Sauce is these ingredients, mixed together:
- Duke’s Mayo
- Chipotle Tabasco Sauce
- Ketchup
- Onion Flakes
- Pickle Relish
Let’s grill up some burgers, y’all!
Crank your grill up to high.
Place your patties down, and do not touch them.
Leave the grill lid OPEN on this first side.
How do I know when my burger is ready to flip?
The burger patty will release itself once the proteins have coagulated and formed a crust.
If you go to slip your patty with a spatula, and it’s sticky, let it hang out some more.
When you flip to the second side, now you can close the grill lid.
For medium burgers, over high flames, this takes about 3 minutes per side.
Once you close the lid to your grill, turn the heat down to medium.
Open your grill up, and plop some jalapeno pimento cheese onto each burger.
This will melt really quickly, so close the lid, and give it a minute.
Remove from the grill, and top your burger with bacon, chipotle comeback sauce, pickles, and a Duke’s mayo slathered toasted bun!
You may need a fork and knife to eat this dynamite burger — but, it’s well worth it!
What should I serve with this burger?
5 Tips for Better Burgers
- After you’ve formed your patties, put them in the fridge to firm up. This helps keep their shape when you go to grill.
- Make your burger patties 1 inch larger than your bun.
- Having a CLEAN grill is what will really help you get perfectly grilled burgers.
- Flip your burgers once — and do not for the love of all things holy press your burger.
- Rest your burger for a minute before serving.
Alright, y’all! Who’s ready to grill and chill with me?! Tell me in the comments your favorite way to top your burger!
