🍝 Greek Meatballs! Here in Asheville, we have 🍝 Greek Meatballs! Here in Asheville, we have Apollo Flame. And IYKYK. The Greek Salad is hands down my all-time favorite thing to order! However, on their menu, you’ll find Greek Meatballs. It’s deliciously tender meatballs swimming in red sauce. With bread on the side. No pasta! It’s my kind of meal! This recipe has been on Sweetpea for over a decade, but I recently updated the photos. If you want to cook once but eat TWICE… This is your recipe!! Here are some other thoughts on what you can do with them: Spaghetti and Meatballs Meatball Subs Greek Meatballs, no pasta Serve it over orzo for a different spin on the pasta! Or, if you want to be really decadent… I recently made these and served them over Parmesan Cheese Grits! Y’all….talk about comfort food!! Let’s take a bagged salad mix, and make it a lit Let’s take a bagged salad mix, and make it a little bit better, and go farther! I love the salad kits from @yourtaylorfarms, but I need it to feed more than it does. So, adding extra lettuce and lots of Fall flavors is the ticket! Here’s what I added: 🥬 Extra Lettuce 🍎 Chopped Apples 🍒 Dried Fruits 🐐 Goat Cheese 🍅 Tomatoes 🧅 Pickled Vidalia Onions 🥖 Homemade Croutons And I did make a homemade dressing. I love making my own dressings, and it just comes second nature now. How do you zhuzh up your salads?!

Cheese and Pasta in a Pot is an absolute WINNER for dinner! Cheese and Pasta in a Pot is just that—cheese, pasta, red sauce with ground beef, and a layer of SOUR CREAM that will surprise and delight your tastebuds! THIS is a pasta dish that will instantly gather your people around the table—there will be plenty to share. 🏡 It serves a crowd, so it’s the BEST time to call up some peeps and have them over! 🍽 Hosting Essentials: Effortless Entertaining! 🍽 Hosting Essentials: Effortless Entertaining! Effortless Entertaining is an oxymoron. Anyone who has hosted anything of any size knows it’s NOT effortless. You have to do the work, but doing as much work as you can AHEAD of time is the key to success! So, here’s a little list of things you can do ahead of time: 🚽 Swish & Shine your bathrooms 🧺 Pick up and Put Away the main areas you’ll use 🍽 Set your table 🥣 Set out your serving ware, with the serving utensils 🍰 Make the dessert 🍴 Choose an easy menu 🥬 Prep as many ingredients and/or dishes as you can 🎼 Create a playlist 👗 Pick out your outfit (with the jewelry and lipstick!) 🍹 Mix up the batch cocktail If you can check these tasks off leading up to the day before your gathering… 🎩 EFFORTLESS ENTERTAINING is yours to be had!
Chicken Pot Pie! Y’all, this recipe is so delish Chicken Pot Pie! Y’all, this recipe is so delish! Learn the art of making a hearty Chicken Pot Pie, with a few cheeky cheats! Your taste buds will thank you! 🥧 Here’s the recipe: 1 stick butter - melt in the skillet 1 small onion - saute until soft in the melted butter 1 bag of frozen mixed veggies - add these in with the soft onions 1 can cream of chicken - add this into the veggies 1 can of milk - pour in with the creamy veggies Salt Pepper Thyme 2 cups shredded chicken - mix in your chicken with the creamy veggies 2 pie crusts Lay one pie crust down into your pie dish. Pour the pot pie stuffing on to the pie dough. Then, take the other pie crust, and peel pieces off and “puzzle” them on top. Brush with cream or egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 350* until golden brown and bubbly on top! Mine took around 25-30 minutes, but watch carefully! Okay! Tag the third person who comes up, and they have to make it for you!

If you are anxious the people you’ve invited will pick up on it and Awkward City starts creeping around.. Instead! Fully prep your salad, grill while you’ve got the drink going, and serve this family style. What makes you nervous or anxious about hosting?! I’d love to know!

You lay down a box of @gothamgreens lettuce on a giant platter while your big boy steak is grilling and chilling. Add in some tomatoes, goat cheese, crispy onions, cucumbers, or whatever your heart desires on your salad! Then, drizzle over the Creamy Balsamic Dressing… and Dinner is SERVED! If you want to step up your hosting game, this is how! Creating delicious meals that make your people happy is what it’s all about. Not the table setting, although that’s important! Not the decorations that take up space in your home… Definitely not anything over the top. From the moment your people walk through your door, you want them to feel welcome, at ease, and ready to engage in conversation!
