Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Cocktail Bar

At the beginning of December my brother called and told me how he wanted to find a bar for his apartment. I knew he didn’t want to spend a ton of $$$, so I told him I would take care of it.
I love a “makeover” project, and this piece of furniture was just the right price and style. It’s an old buffet that I found at Asheville’s amazing Tobacco Barn

I took the doors off, and got to work using my FAVORITE Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®. I love this stuff. No sanding. No priming. Just get to work painting.

I mixed two colors together – Graphite and French Linen. This created a gun metal color, perfect for a manly apartment.

This was one coat on the top. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint covers SO well!

Here the whole thing is painted, ready to be waxed. Total time it took to paint the bar was about an hour. Which is pretty amazing for two coats, with drying time in between! Just another reason why I love ASCP so much!

Come follow me on Instagram!

Here it is in the boys apartment, all styled for cocktails. Cigars and spirits are ready for use!

We got this green tray from Target’s Christmas section, for $15! Adds some texture to the top

This project with furniture, paint, and supplies cost about $100. Not including the liquor or cigars. 😉

I’ll say that is a definite win-win! Win for John, he got his bar, without spending a small fortune. I got to do something I love, for someone I love!
