Rezaz Sofra Suppers

Here is a great local, Asheville, North Carolina dinner idea. If you live in or around the area, you won’t want to miss this!

Rezaz in Biltmore Village is hosting “Sofra Suppers” for the next few Sundays. And, are they are WINNER!

What are Sofra Suppers?? A community coming together to eat delicious food.
Here, long tables are ready for guests and the family style dinner that awaits them.
This past Sunday was a visit to the Lebanese region — with hints of Turkey.
Some of my favorite cuisine!
This salad was SO SO yummy! Pomegranates + crispy chick peas + hearty greens, and a lemony vinaigrette to make this my favorite dish of the whole evening!

Dolmas! Traditional for the region.

Zatar coated Salmon…. YES! Perfectly spiced and cooked.
Went wonderfully with the crispy brussels sprouts hiding underneath.

One of my favorite parts of these dinners… You are seated at long tables, with people you may or may not know. By the end of the evening, I had exchanged numbers with another woman — I love getting to know new people, over a meal.  The communal efforts of passing each dish, helping your neighbor plate their food is a lost art. We are often so focused on ourselves, our devices, or the people we know and feel comfortable with we forget that conversing over a meal is a simple, humble act; forgotten by our whirlwind society.
Here are Brian and Laura, the owners of Rezaz. Brian is the chef, Laura the pastry chef… She is responsible for the dessert plate filled with amazing goodness!
Tahini Cookies, Lemon Semolina Cake, and Orange Coconut Macaroons.
This coming Sunday, you’ll be transported to Greece! And the menu looks amazing! Check it out here
