If there is one thing that will take your salad fr If there is one thing that will take your salad from lifeless to lifeGIVING is the dressing! This Boursin Shallot Dressing is a bougie ranch dressing, okay! You take your (homemade!) ranch dressing, add in some @garlic.expressions dressing, plus half a knob of @boursincheese to a food processor. Add in a shallot, fresh garlic clove, and fresh basil, blend it all up, and you’ve got an amazing dressing for salad, or dip fresh veggies in it! Store in an air-tight jar for up to one week, it won’t last that long, I promise! If you need some measurements here you go: 1 cup Ranch Dressing 1/4 cup Garlic Expressions Dressing 1 Shallot, diced 3 Garlic Cloves, diced 2.5 ounces Boursin Shallot & Chive Flavored Cheese 1/2 cup Fresh Basil So good, y’all! Cheesy BBQ Chicken Dip! Absolute stunner at a li Cheesy BBQ Chicken Dip! Absolute stunner at a little “Ssip and Dip” I hosted a few weeks ago! If you love buffalo chicken dip, you’ll love this sweet and tangy version. So, while your “others” are watching the Big Game collectively, snag your people and ‘Ssip while you dip! Ready for the recipe?! Here you go: 2 cups Shredded Chicken 4 ounces Softened Cream Cheese 8 ounces Shredded Cheddar Cheese (reserve a little for the top!) 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce, extra for a little drizzle Mix it all up and smoosh into a baking dish. Drizzle some extra BBQ sauce on top, as well as an extra sprinky-dink of cheese. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly! I’ve got THREE tips for creating a beautiful table setting that will wow your guests, every time! Inside my digital book, The Hostess Handbook, I give you a template for setting your table for buffet lines, and the formula I use when setting a table for a dinner party. 1️⃣ Use something to anchor your table. If you’re someone who likes to place the food on the table, then your serving dishes will be your anchor. If you like to serve from the sideboard, or kitchen counter, something in the center of your table will anchor the whole thing. Whether you choose flowers, a bowl of fresh fruit like apples, or citrus fruits place them in the center of your table. 2️⃣ Use UNSCENTED candles, and a good amount of them. I buy the little tea lights in bulk when I’m in IKEA, and use them in all kinds of glass votives. For a rectangle table, place an odd number on either side of the anchor. I prefer no less than 5. For a round table, place the votives in between each place setting, close to the anchor. 3️⃣ Choose one color, and go with it! If you’re using flowers, choose one color and fill up your jars! If you’re using fruit, choose one color, and fill up a bowl! I’m working on a (comprehensive? long? novel-like?) post all about how I set my tables, my favorite products, and some templates I’ve created to make it easier. Setting your table should be simple, and not take away from the experience. A table with a single candle is special! People aren’t coming over to your home for the table setting… they’re coming over to cultivate their relationship with YOU! How do you set you table for a dinner party?! Chalupa is a two-family-favorite meal that was handed down to us from our grandmother’s days in Texas. It’s pulled pork simmered with pinto beans, chilis, and spices… Spooned over crunchy corn/tortilla chips, then topped with all the taco-toppings your heart can measure out! CRISPY BAKED CHICKEN TIPS: ✅ Season your bone in, skin on chicken thighs. ✅ Let them “dry brine” in the fridge, overnight, UNCOVERED. Yes, you will have raw poultry in your frigde. It’s not as bad as it sounds, I promise. ✅ Place in a baking dish and cook for 35-40 minutes at 400 degrees. Baste with a Hot Honey Buffalo Sauce (recipe below). These are perfect for football game days at home! HOT HONEY BUFFALO SAUCE: 3 TBS Butter 3 TBS Hot Honey 3 TBS Cholula (or your fave hot sauce!) Roll up your cheddar and jalapeno stuffed hot dog with some cresent dough. @snoopdogg knows what he’s talking about. And if you don’t have his cookbook, Crook to Cook, you need it in your kitchen. It’s one of my favorite cookbooks of all time. They’re so good dipped in yellow mustard! 🌭 DOGGS IN A BLANKET RECIPE: 1, 8-ounce can of Crescent Dough 8 Hot Dogs 1 Jalapeno, sliced thin 2 cups Cheddar Cheese 1️⃣ Unroll your crescent dough, and add two thin sliced of jalapenos. 2️⃣ Make a slit in each hot dog, and fill with cheese. 3️⃣ Roll the hot dogs up into the crescent dough. I like to add a little more cheese… 4️⃣ Bake at 375* for 13-15 minutes, rotating half way through. Who’s making these for football weekends?!

Chicken Confit, anyone?! Say it out loud… “Ch Chicken Confit, anyone?! Say it out loud… “Chicken Confit…” Don’t you feel fancy?! ((You are so fancy, friend!)) This might be my favorite dish to serve at a table filled with people. The day before your dinner party, you’ll tuck all the chicken and veggies into a dish and let her marinate with garlic, lemon, and thyme. An hour before your dinner party, you’ll douse her in olive oil, plop her in the oven, and go on with getting ready for your party! The waft of garlic, chicken, carrots, and shallots braising in olive oil is ✨intoxicating.✨ It’s THE smell you want when your guests walk into your home. ((They’ll probably smell it when they get out of their car… just saying.)) The wow factor is in the schmaltzy oil that the chicken and veggies roast in. Your people will be dunking their bites into the braising dish just to get a little more of the goodness with every bite! I promise you’ll want to print this recipe out and keep it forever and ever! Slices of zucchini and onions are layered with marinara sauce and italian seasonings.
