When you dip them into apple sauce and sour cream, it becomes an instant core memory you’ll want to experience over and over. If you’ve never tried making latkes, they may seem intimidating. But, y’all, they’re incredibly easy to make. Here are a few secrets to getting perfectly crisp yet fluffy latkes: ✅ Squeeze your shredded potatoes in a kitchen towel, open the towel and “fluff” the potatoes, then squeeze again making sure they are as dry as possible. ✅ Pan fry the latkes at a lower temperature, for a longer time. Part of the annoyance of traveling is I don’t pack well. I’m an “Oh, we’re leaving? Let me shove some things in a bag and run out the door” kind of girl…. Totally not me. I’m usually Boy Scout Prepared. ✌️ But! I have been “moving locations” more frequently, and I found a duffle that is incredible! You zip your hanging clothes in, zip up the sides, and stuff it full. My 10-day trip recently was with this bag + my “mobile office! I flipping LOVE when I have as minimal bags as possible.
