Sweetpea Lifestyle House Seasoning

A simple house seasoning blend combining your most used spices. Saving you time in the kitchen!

So, as you know, I’m the queen of shortcuts. I’m the queen of efficiency. And, I’m the queen of doing things very quickly.

So, to save myself time in the kitchen, I create spice mixes. Over the next few months I’ll be sharing several blends I make and keep on hand at all times!

This is just like Paula Deen's house seasoning mix, but better!

I’m not even going to make a recipe card for this — it’s not really a recipe!!

Dump the following into a container with a lid, and shake shake shake!

  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons onion powder

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt

  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground pepper. {I like to use a coffee grinder to grind my peppercorns in a hurry!}

I’ve stocked my Amazon Store with all these spices — in large containers — they’ll keep fine in a cool, dark, dry place.

In my store you’ll find all my favorite things! I add things regularly, so check back often!

I use this spice blend in lots of recipes! It’s right next to my stovetop!

These recipes use my House Seasoning Blend:

Low Carb Veggie Stir Fry Sheet Pan Supper

Italian Zucchini Bake

Roasted Vegetables

You can save this image to your favorite cooking Pinterest board!

Save yourself time in the kitchen by creating your own spice blends. This house seasoning blends garlic and onion powder with salt and pepper. So simple to use on anything roasted or baked. This makes meal time so easy!

XOXO,

  1. That’s a great combo, I stock up on my seasonings in the summer from the local farm by my parent’s house, I’m planning on making my blends soon and will definitely be doing this one. Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
