First, let’s talk pork…

If you’re looking to save some money buy a pork loin, and slice it into thick pork chops, or thin pork chops. You can determine the thickness of the pork chop!

easy 2 ingredient pork chop marinade recipe

When you buy boneless center-cut pork chops in your supermarket, you’re buying a portion of the pork loin! So, why not buy the whole thing, slice the thickness of the chop to your preference and freeze what you don’t use.

Other words you might see in the market when shopping for pork chops:

  • Pork Tenderloin — This is a smaller version of the large pork loin. It’s best-cooked whole and usually comes with both tenderloins in the package.
  • Pork Roast — this is what you might use to make Pulled Pork. You need to cook this cut of meat low and slow!

Now, let’s get to seasoning our chops.

Place chops inside a ziptop bag, or airtight container. This recipe uses 2 ingredients! Ranch seasoning powder plus Worcestershire sauce. For thicker chops, you’ll need to let these marinade overnight. For thinner chops, you can let them sit in the refrigerator for an hour.

Next, you want the thicker chop to be as close to room temperature as possible. Remove the thick boneless pork chops from the fridge for 45-60 minutes before you’re ready to bake them. Again, for thin ones, it doesn’t take as long. While your oven is preheating is all it should take!

Grab your sheet pan, and if you want an easy cleanup, line it with tin foil.

Remove your chops from the marinade, and for best results blot on a paper towel, on both sides to remove any excess moisture.

Baking the Pork Chops

Lay the delicious pork chops onto the sheet pan, spacing with plenty of room around each one. You don’t want the touching in any way.

In your 375 degrees Fahrenheit preheated oven, roast your pork chops for 20-30 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your pork.

You want to cook your pork chops to a safe internal temperature. The internal temperature of the pork chop should range from 145˚-160˚. For thinner pork chops, remove right at 140 degrees f, and carry-over cooking will finish as the chops rest. An instant-read thermometer to your BFF here! You can even use a Bluetooth-enabled thermometer like this one to allow your phone to alert you when they’re ready!

The best pork chops are tender and juicy every time. It’s an easy dinner the whole family will love this easy meal!
