🍴 Easy recipes to gather
👯‍♀️ Your new hostess bestie
👇 Start with a recipe
🪄 Stay for the magic

If you want your dinner party to feel elevated… If you want your dinner party to feel elevated…

Start with the drink. 🍹✨

This was my Pina Colada-rita moment:
(coconut + tequila = yes ma’am)

But the real magic?

The GLASS.

🥥 Toasted coconut + Maldon salt
🍯 Sorghum syrup rim
❄️ Frozen overnight

So when guests arrived?

All I had to do was:
fill with ice → pour → hand them something beautiful

And instantly…
the night felt intentional.

This is what people remember:
Not just what you served…
but how it felt in their hands.

✨ Cold glass
✨ Salty-sweet rim
✨ First sip moment

That’s hospitality.

✨ Hosting Essentials #2: Make the first 5 minutes feel special.

The recipe?? It’s coming soon!

I wanted a fancy dinner party… …but it was mi I wanted a fancy dinner party…

…but it was mid-July in North Carolina and approximately 9,000 degrees outside. 😅

So instead of turning my kitchen into a sauna, I did what I always tell you to do:

✨ Make one thing. Assemble the rest.

The menu?
🍗 Grilled chicken (delegated!)
🥗 A big, beautiful chopped salad
🥓 Bacon crackers + Angus Barn cheese spread
🍹 A signature cocktail prepped the day before
🍰 Dessert… lovingly outsourced

And here’s the thing—

This meal?
People STILL talk about it three years later.

Not because it was complicated.
Not because it was expensive.

But because it was thoughtful.
Because it felt special.
Because the table was set with care.

That’s the shift:
Hosting isn’t about impressing people.

🥰 It’s about making people feel something.

And sometimes?

A simple grilled chicken and salad…with a few intentional upgrades…becomes the most memorable night of the summer.

✨ Hosting Essentials #1: Fancy is a feeling, not a formula.

Comment FANCY and I’ll send you the full menu + details when they’re published! 💌

Spring cleaning, but make it ✨soul soothing✨ Spring cleaning, but make it ✨soul soothing✨

My room was feeling a little… chaotic.
Closet overflowing.
Piles here, there, everywhere.

And instead of waiting for the “perfect” day or a full weekend reset…
I just started.

🧺 picked up what I could
🧼 cleared the surfaces
👗 gave my closet a little breathing room

Nothing fancy.
Nothing Pinterest-perfect.

But wow… the shift.

Because sometimes it’s not about the aesthetic—
it’s about creating a space that feels good to walk into.

A space that says:
“You’re safe here. You can start again here.”

And honestly?
That’s the kind of spring refresh I’m here for.

Save this as your reminder:
you don’t need a full overhaul…
just a little willingness to begin 🤍

Comment “RESET” if you’re in your spring refresh era and you’d like my cheeky little list I use!

Hot take: your house does not need to be perfect t Hot take: your house does not need to be perfect to be full of people. 💛

Five hours before this little Spring Appy Hour…my home was a wreck.

Piles. Clutter. The kind of space that makes you think, “Maybe we reschedule…” 🙃

But instead?

I picked up the spaces we’d actually be in,
lit a little candle, and opened the door anyway.

And you know what?
It was magic.

Because it was never about the house.
👉 It was about the people gathered inside of it.

Here’s what I put together — simple, scrappy, and so good:

✨ Hummus with carrots, pita crisps, and gluten-free crackers
✨ A “dip salad” (homemade ranch + lettuce chips + cucumbers)
✨ Ranch dip leveled up with green onions + shredded cheddar + tortilla chips
✨ Shrimp cocktail in a coupe glass (because we deserve a little flair)
✨ A cheeky hydrating mocktail with homemade sweet & sour, coconut water, and sparkling water

Nothing complicated.
Nothing fussy.
Everything shared.

This is your reminder:

You don’t need a spotless house.
You don’t need a five-course menu.
You don’t need more time.

You just need to be a little brave.

Hosting isn’t about performance.
It’s about presence.

So if your house feels messy…
if your life feels a little full…
if you’ve been waiting for the “right moment”—

This is it.

Open the door.
Set out what you have.
Let it be enough.

Because one little gathering might not change the world…
but it will change someone’s night. ✨

On my way to tell them how I really feel about din On my way to tell them how I really feel about dinner parties… 💅✨

They’re not just aesthetic.

They’re not just something to post.

They’re not a perfectly styled table with a curated playlist and a “look how cute this is” moment for the internet.

Dinner parties are hope in action.

They’re what we do when the world feels loud, divided, and a little too lonely.

They’re how we say:
✨ “I see you.”
✨ “Come sit with me.”
✨ “You belong here.”

Because before we were profiles and opinions and endless scrolling…
we were just people sitting at tables.

Talking.
Laughing.
Passing the bread.
Staying a little longer than we planned.

And somewhere along the way, we made it complicated.

We thought it had to be perfect.
We thought we had to impress.
We thought we needed a reason.

You don’t.

You just need a table. (Or a coffee table. Or a kitchen counter.)
You need something simple to share.
And you need the courage to say, “Come over.”

That’s it.

Because gathering like this?
It softens people.

It builds relationships.
It creates belonging.
It reminds us that we are human first.

And in a world that feels increasingly disconnected…

that is no small thing.

So no, I don’t think dinner parties are “just content.”

I think they might be one of the most meaningful things we can do.

And I’ll keep saying it:

Dinner parties can change the world.

But more importantly—how will it change yours? 💛

—

If this made you want to text someone “come over,” you already know what to do. ✨

And if you want help making it simple, my Sweetpea’s Supper Club is where we practice this together, month by month. Say “I believe!” in the comments and I’ll send you the link!

April feels like a return. Not in a big, dramatic April feels like a return.

Not in a big, dramatic, “change your whole life” kind of way…
But in a quiet, grounding way.

Back to your home.Back to your kitchen.Back to your table.

This month, we’re focusing on Sacred Home Rhythms—simple, sustainable ways to make your home feel calm, lived-in, and ready for gathering.

Not perfect.Not finished.Just… ready enough.

Here’s what we’re leaning into this April:
🌿 Resetting our homes (without overwhelm)🍋 Creating a kitchen that supports us🥂 Easy ways to host (hello Dip Night + Patio App Hour)🧺 Casual gatherings that actually fit real life✨ Letting go of perfection and hosting anyway

Because here’s the truth:
You don’t need a perfectly clean house.You don’t need a full menu.You don’t need everything figured out.

You just need a place to start.

And maybe… one person to invite over.

We live in a world that’s busy, distracted, and honestly a little lonely.

And one of the most meaningful things you can do right now?

Open your door.
Light a candle.Set something simple on the table.Stay a little longer than planned.

Because one dinner party won’t change the world…
But it might change yours.

Cheers to you, March. 🥂🤍 What a full, beaut Cheers to you, March. 🥂🤍

What a full, beautiful, stretch-me-in-all-the-right-ways kind of month.

This was the month of big rooms and quiet moments.
Of saying yes before I felt ready.Of showing up anyway.

There were goals I’ve been holding onto for a long time that finally got checked.
Moments that felt surreal.Moments that felt deeply human.

And through it all…
I kept coming back to the same thing:

The table.

Simple meals.Open doors.Conversations that reminded me what all of this is really about.

Because as big as some of these moments were—the real magic is still happening in the small ones.

In the “come over” texts. In the last-minute dinners. In the choice to gather, even when life feels full.

March reminded me that you don’t have to choose between building something meaningful…and living a life that feels meaningful.

You get to do both.

And if this month taught me anything, it’s this:

✨ Start before you feel ready✨ Invite people in along the way✨ Let it be imperfect—and do it anyway

So here’s to everything that happened…and everything that’s just beginning.

April, I’m ready for you. 🌿

And if you’re here—thank you for being part of this with me. 🤍

Cheers to, YOU!
Fresh, bright, and just a little bit bold—this T Fresh, bright, and just a little bit bold—this Tomato Firecracker Salad is the kind of dish that wakes up the whole table. 🍅✨🌶️

Say MATER and I’ll share the recipe with you!

Sweet. Tangy. Spicy.
The kind of flavor that makes people pause mid-bite and go, “wait… what is in this?”

And suddenly?
They’re reaching for more bread.Pouring another glass of wine.Staying longer than they planned.

This is my favorite kind of hosting food.

Not complicated. Not fussy.Just something that sparks the table.

Because when the food has a little personality…
the conversation does too. 🤍

This is exactly the kind of dish we’re building inside Sweetpea’s Supper Club—simple recipes with a little edge, designed for real gatherings.

✨ (And yes—this is very much the energy of April’s Dinner Kit 👀)

If you’ve got tomatoes and a few pantry staples, you’re already halfway there.

Make this for:🌿 a spring patio night🔥 your next backyard hang🍷 or a “come over for no reason” kind of evening

No overthinking.No pressure.

Just bold flavor… and an open door.

I call this Sunday Tomato Salad… but honestly? I call this Sunday Tomato Salad… but honestly?

This is “come over and stay awhile” food. 🍅🤍

It’s the kind of thing you throw together in ten minutes—set on the table with some crusty bread and a bottle of wine… And suddenly no one leaves.

🍅 Juicy tomatoes.
🥛 Creamy mozzarella + burrata.
🧅 Sharp shallots.
🧄 Garlic, olive oil, a splash of vinegar.

Simple. Messy. Perfect.

This is exactly the kind of dish I come back to again and again inside Sweetpea’s Supper Club—because it’s not about impressing anyone.

It’s about:
🥖 putting something beautiful (and easy) on the table
🍷 creating a reason to linger
💬 making space for conversation to unfold

No complicated menu.
No stress.
Just a table… and an invitation.

✨ This is inside April’s Sweetpea’s Supper Club Dinner Kit—and it’s exactly the kind of effortless, spring gathering we’re creating together. 🤍

Say KIT in the comments, and I’ll share it with you!

If you’ve been wanting to host but didn’t know where to start—this is it.

✨ Make this.
✨ Text a friend.

👏 Don’t wait for a seat at the table. Learn 👏 Don’t wait for a seat at the table.

Learn to set your own. 👏

And here’s something we don’t say out loud enough:

When you see other people hosting—the dinners, the gatherings, the kind of nights you wish you were part of—and you feel that little pang?

That’s not jealousy.
That’s a nudge.

✨ You’re meant to be the invite. ✨

Not someday. Not when everything feels ready.
Now.

Because belonging doesn’t come from being included.

It comes from creating the space.

From lighting the candle. From sending the text. From putting something simple on the table and saying, “come over.”

This is the practice inside Sweetpea’s Supper Club. 🤍

Not perfect dinners.Not performative hosting.

Just a rhythm:🕯️ One invitation🍲 One simple meal💬 One conversation that goes a little deeper

Month after month.

A life where gathering becomes your reflex—not something you overthink.

So if you’ve been waiting to feel included…
this is your moment to begin.

Just because we’re at the end of March… doesn’t mean the year is over.

If anything—this is where it begins.

Not louder parties.Not harder hosting.Not Pinterest-perfect pressure.

This is your era of intentional gathering.

Of tables that feel warm, not performative.Of meals that are simple, but meaningful.Of hosting that fits your real, everyday life.

You didn’t miss your moment in January.
You’re arriving right on time.

Because this is the kind of year where:🕯️ You light the candle on a Tuesday🍲 You make what you already have🚪 You invite people in—without waiting for perfect

No overhaul required. No “new year, new you.”

Just a quiet decision:
To show up.To gather. To open your door anyway.

Because hosting isn’t about impressing.

It’s about presence.
It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, fed, and at ease.
Where conversation lingers.Where community grows—slowly, softly, and for real.

So if you’ve been feeling behind… or like you missed your chance to start—
this is it.

Your 2026 hosting era doesn’t start in January.

It starts the moment you decide.

6 things I never leave for the last minute when ho 6 things I never leave for the last minute when hosting (spring edition 🌿)

Because hosting in this season should feel light… not rushed.

1️⃣ Anything that can be prepped ahead 🥖
Herbs, citrus, berries, garnishes—if it can be chopped earlier, it is.
(Spring hosting = fresh flavors, not frantic energy.)

2️⃣ One make-ahead moment (minimum) 🥗
A bright dressing, a chilled salad, a little something sweet.
Future me gets to enjoy the party too.

3️⃣ The table 🍽️
I set it early—maybe with fresh flowers or something green from outside.
Even the simplest table feels inviting in the daylight.

4️⃣ The playlist 🎶
Something easy, a little airy, a little “we’re lingering longer than planned.”
I press play before the door opens.

5️⃣ The baseline clean🧹
Not perfect. Just peaceful.
Windows cracked, counters cleared, a space that feels ready to welcome.

 6️⃣ My outfit👗
Something I can move in, cook in, and feel like myself in.
Hosting starts with me feeling at ease.

Because spring hosting isn’t about doing more—
it’s about letting things feel easier.

I used to think I needed to be ready to host. Mor I used to think I needed to be ready to host.

More time.
A cleaner house.
A better menu.
A reason.

But here’s what I know now:
✨ The invitation is the reason.

Not the perfect table.
Not the finished to-do list.
Not the version of you who finally “has it all together.”

Just you… deciding to open the door.

This season, I’m not here to teach you how to throw a perfect dinner party.

I’m here to show you how to:
🕯️ Light the candle on an ordinary night
🍲 Put something simple on the table
💬 Stay long enough for the conversation to matter

Because this kind of hosting?

It changes things.
It softens people.
It deepens friendships.
It reminds us what it feels like to be human again—face to face, across a table.

So if you’ve been waiting…

Consider this your permission slip:
✨ Host anyway.
✨ Be the invite.
✨ Start small.

We’re not waiting for special occasions anymore. We’re creating them.

And if you’re craving a little structure… a little guidance…a way to actually practice this kind of hosting month after month—that’s exactly why I created Sweetpea’s Supper Club. 🤍

The air fryer recipe I make on repeat — and it n The air fryer recipe I make on repeat — and it never gets old…

Dinner on the table in 25 minutes and it feels fancy. 🍗✨

This air fryer chicken bites situation is my love language.

Here’s the move: season your chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper — toss with a little olive oil, coat with cornstarch right before it goes in, and let your air fryer do all the heavy lifting.

Crispy on the outside, perfectly juicy inside, and honestly tasting like something that took way more effort than it did.

While those cook — and we’re talking 10-12 minutes at 365°, cranking up to 400° halfway through for that golden moment — you mix up a caesar salad.

That’s it. That’s the whole dinner.

Crispy chicken bites on top of a cold, creamy caesar?

That’s a girl dinner.
That’s a treat yourself Tuesday.
That’s the kind of meal that makes you feel like you have your life together even when you absolutely do not. 🥗✨

No deep frying.
No mess.
No 45-minute recipe that requires three pans and a prayer.

Just good food, fast — the way weeknight dinner should always feel.

Drop “Fancy Fast” in the comments and I’ll send you the full recipe! 👇🍗

This dip has never once come home with me from a p This dip has never once come home with me from a party. 🙌

I’m not exaggerating. Scraping-the-bottom-of-the-dish, someone-always-asks-for-the-recipe, please-make-this-every-time kind of dip.

It’s my Hot Honey Baked Pimento Cheese Dip — and it is everything.

Creamy, cheesy, warm from the oven, with just enough sweet heat from the hot honey to make people stop mid-conversation and look down at their chip like, wait, what is this?

The best part? You can make it ahead, throw it in a 350° oven when guests arrive, and pull it out golden and bubbling while you look completely unbothered.

🤌 That’s the magic of a great party recipe — it works for you, not against you.

Serve it with tortilla chips, crackers, a sliced baguette... honestly, people will find something to scoop it with. I’ve seen it happen.

👇 Drop “Cheese, please!” below and I’ll send the full recipe straight to your DMs. 🧀🍯

Hot take: the cure for loneliness is probably a di Hot take: the cure for loneliness is probably a dinner party.

Not because the food is fancy. Not because the table is perfect. Not because everything goes exactly according to plan.

But because something powerful happens when someone opens their door and says:
“Come on in.”

For years I’ve believed dinner parties aren’t small.
They’re not extra.They’re not frivolous.

They’re one of the most powerful ways we create connection in a world that desperately needs it.

It’s why I created Sweetpea’s Supper Club — a place where we practice gathering.

✨ Simple menus✨ Thoughtful conversation✨ Permission to host the life you already have

And listen… we are nowhere close to this year being over.

You still have time to start.

To light the candle. To text a friend. To set the table on a random Tuesday.

Because the people who want community are usually the ones brave enough to create it.

And if you’ve been waiting for someone to invite you…

🕯️ This is it.

✅ If You Only Have 20 Minutes… Make This! Mam ✅ If You Only Have 20 Minutes… Make This!

Mama Leah Dip is my absolute go-to dip for a quick appetizer, snack idea, or taco topping!

It’s THREE ingredients, and everyone goes NUTS over it. They’re always asking for the recipe!

If you’d like a printable recipe, say MAMA in the comments, and I’ll send it to you!

Here’s the recipe:

16-ounces Sour Cream
1, 10-ounce can Rotel Tomatoes (whichever flavor you like best!)
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning (or 3 TBS if you have the jar!)

Stir these together, chill for half an hour, and serve with tortilla chips. It makes a fantastic taco topping, too!

Who’s making this?!

The Surf & Turf Dinner Party Tower is exactly how The Surf & Turf Dinner Party Tower is exactly how I will be celebrating. ✨

Say SURF in the comments and I’ll send you all the details for this dinner party idea!

Most of the time, I’m the first one to tell you:
✨ Keep it simple.
✨ Soup and bread is enough.
✨ Open the door anyway.

But every now and then…
you celebrate.

After my TEDx talk, it feels like the right moment to gather my people and mark the occasion around the table.

Not just celebrating myself, but celebrating the incredible humans who stood on that stage too. It takes real courage to say something meaningful out loud in front of a room full of people.

And moments like that deserve a little sparkle.

Growing up, when my sister or I had a dance recital or school performance, my family would pile into the suburban and go to Dairy Queen afterwards.

That was our celebration.

🍦A dipped cone.
🍡A Dilly Bar.
A little moment that said, “You did it.”

These days… my celebrations look a little different.

Now I gather people around the table and serve something like this:

✨ a towering Surf & Turf Dinner Party

Because this was the night where I:
• made the homemade napkin rings
• bought the nice beef
• opened the special wine
• and built a completely over-the-top Surf & Turf Tower

Stacked up on the table:
🥗 Loaded Wedge Salad
🍟 Pommes Frites
🥩 Pan-Seared Ribeye
🦀 Snow Crab Legs
🍤 Shrimp Cocktail in martini glasses hanging on the tower

It’s dramatic.
It’s delicious.
It’s a little ridiculous.

And honestly… that’s exactly what a celebration dinner should be.

Because everyday dinners build connection.

But sometimes you gather your people and say: ✨ Tonight we celebrate.

Say SURF in the comments and I’ll send you the full menu and party details.

And now I’m curious…

How did your family celebrate big moments growing up?

There’s something so grounding about refilling m There’s something so grounding about refilling my flour bin.

Especially because it’s the same container my grandmother used. 🥹

Every time I pour fresh flour into it, I can’t help but think about all the baking that came before me… biscuits, cakes, Sunday dinners, and tables full of people.

It’s a tiny homemaking ritual, but it reminds me that kitchens carry generations of gathering.

✨ A small moment that connects past tables to future ones.

And here’s a little flour tip I swear by:
When I refill the container, I pour the older flour back on top, then take a whisk and give everything a good fluff. It breaks up any lumps, aerates the flour, and keeps it light and ready to scoop when it’s time to bake.

Then the measuring cup goes back in, the lid goes on, and the pantry is ready for whatever comes next.

Maybe biscuits for breakfast.Maybe a cake for a celebration.Maybe cookies for friends coming over.

Because the truth is, the things that bring people to the table often start with the quiet little rituals in the kitchen.

So if you’ve been meaning to restock your pantry… consider this your sign. 🤍
