Description

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans are a deliciously easy side dish recipe idea that uses fresh green beans, honey, sriracha, and Bachan’s Japanese BBQ sauce you will LOVE!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. Fresh, Trimmed Green Beans
  • 2 TBS Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Sweet and Spicy Glaze

  • 1 TBS Honey
  • 1 TBS Sriracha
  • 1 TBS Bachan’s Japanese BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425˚.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, drop your green beans and drizzle in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
  3. Give this a good toss so every bean is coated!
  4. Plop the green beans onto a half sheet pan, and roast at 425˚ for 20 minutes.
  5. While the beans roast, mix up your glaze.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of sriracha, and 1 tablespoon of Bachan’s Japanese BBQ sauce. Set this to the side.
  7. After the beans have roasted for 20 minutes, and look blistered and golden brown, remove from the oven.
  8. Drizzle your sweet and spicy glaze over top, and toss well.
  9. Place back in the oven for 3-5 minutes to allow the glaze to “adhere” to the beans. Watch closely so the glaze doesn’t burn!
  10. Remove from the oven and serve!

Notes

You can play with the ratios of the glaze, if you don’t like it as spicy use less sriracha.
