Description
Quick and easy white queso like you have at your local mexican restaurant is so much easier than you think! It’s two ingredients, plus whatever mix-ins you like best!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. White American Cheese (I ask for a block or slices from the deli in the market!)
- 1, 12 ounce can Evaporated Milk
Mix In Ideas:
- Green Chilis
- Diced Jalapenos
- Ground Cumin
- Chorizo
- Beans
- Cilantro
Instructions
- In a double broiler over medium heat (make sure you top pot/bowl is not touching the water in the pot beneath!), melt your cheese and evaporated milk together.
- This take about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.Â
- After everything is melted, you can stir in any additional mix-ins you’d like to try!
- Alternatively, you could plop all of this into a little baby crock pot, let it cook on low heat for a couple of hours and serve from there!
