Cornbread Waffles

Crisp, crunchy, cornbread made into a waffle!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • 1 ⅓ cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients together in large bowl and let sit for 20 minutes before making waffles.
  2. Heat waffle iron and pour in batter according to your iron’s settings. I like mine really crispy, so I do two rounds of the timer — play with yours and see!
