Description

North Carolina Chicken is the Georgia Pot Roasts white friend who’s incredibly simple to make!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning (or 3 tablespoons)
  • 1 packed Chicken Gravy
  • 1 jar Mt. Olive Pickles Simply Vidalia


Instructions

DUTCH OVEN VERSION

  1. In the bottom of your dutch oven, over medium high heat, sear each chicken breast in a tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Sprinkle the seasoning packets over the chicken, and dump the entire jar of pickled onions on top.
  3. Put the lid on and bake covered at 350˚ for 1.5 hours.
  4. After 45 minutes, check the chicken to see how it’s doing. If you need some more liquid add a cup of water or chicken broth.
  5. When the chicken shreds easily, shred it up and serve!

SLOW COOKER VERSION

  1. In the bottom of your slow cooker add one cup of water or chicken broth.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the bottom and sprinkle the seasoning packets over top.
  3. Pour the entire jar of pickled onions on top.
  4. Put the lid on the slow cooker, and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-4 hours.
  5. Shred the chicken and serve!
