Description

An easy Southern-style cheese appetizer that’s creamy, savory, and perfect with Ritz crackers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 Vidalia onion, finely diced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon house seasoning

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced Vidalia onion, sliced green onions, and house seasoning.
  • Mash and mix until everything is well combined.
  • Shape into a cheeseball (or leave as a cheese spread in a serving bowl).
  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours.
  • Serve with Ritz crackers and watch it disappear.

Notes

  • Extra green onions make a pretty garnish.
  • For a firmer cheeseball, chill overnight.
  • For a cheese spread, add two tablespoons of mayonnaise.
  • This is a perfect make-ahead appetizer for parties and holiday gatherings.

House Seasoning Recipe:
1/4 cup each Kosher Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Black Pepper. Mix together and store in a jar.
