- 1 Whole Beef Tenderloin, trimmed
- 1 stick Room Temperature Salted Butter
- 2 TBS Montreal Steak Seasoning
Instructions
- Trim your whole beef tenderloin, and slather in one stick of room temperature butter.
- Cover the beef in Montreal steak seasoning, and let it sit out while you preheat the grill.
- Preheat your grill to 500˚.
- When your grill is ripping hot, place the beef tenderloin on the grill grates.
- Set a timer for 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, roll to the next side, and set the timer again for 2 minutes.
- Do this until the entire tenderloin is grilled on high on all sides.
- Remove and place on a baking sheet, and cover TIGHTLY with foil.
- Place in a COLD oven, and let it rest for one hour. Be sure to make a note on your oven so no one turns it on!
- After one hour of resting, insert a meat probe and set the internal temperature to 125˚ – 135, depending on your doneness.
- Turn the oven to 350˚, and let the tenderloin come up to temperature.
- When the tenderloin has reached 5 degrees shy of your desired temperature, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes on a cutting board.
- Slice and serve!
