Snow Day Ideas – Rock the Boredom
It’s 76˚ here in Asheville today, and I am NOT thinking about snow one bit!!! However, I’ll let you know how I rock the boredom during snow days…. COOKING! I know, not very exciting! Honestly, I’m not a snow fan. I don’t like being cold. I don’t like being wet. I don’t like sledding or skiing, or any of the other snowy mountainous things I’m supposed to like living in the mountains. I like staying inside, with a hot cup of tea, and cooking up a feast! Preferably comfort food, that you wouldn’t have on the regular. These recipes would definitely be on the dance card!
Sausage Lasagna from Homemadeyum
Carrot Ginger Miso Dressing from Pulling Curls
Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole from Simply Stacie
French Onion Chicken Soup from Sweetpea Lifestyle (yours truly!)
Mamaw’s Banana Pudding from Taylor Bradford

Home Matters Linky Party Guidelines:
We are thrilled that you came by to link up today! Here are a few rules that hosts and co-hosts of the Home Matters Party follow, and we ask that you follow them, as well.
- Please link up no more than THREE posts each week–try to make sure that they are new links that you have not shared here previously. (Exception: Holiday/Seasonal specific posts may be shared once per year.)
- Please take some time to poke around and visit some of the other links.
- Please take some time to check out your hosts and co-hosts on social media.
- We appreciate the variety of blogs on the www; however, the Home Matters Party is for links on matters of the HOME. Please link accordingly.
- We ask that you do not add other Linky Parties, Blog Hops, or Giveaways–unless you begin the party with a new project, recipe or post.
- On the same note, please do not add links of an extremist, political or strong controversial nature. (The hosts and co-hosts read each and every blog post linked and will contact you directly if you have linked something that does not fit into the realm of the party.)
With your help, we can continue to grow the Home Matters Party! Thank you!

Cheers, Sweet Friends to a Great Weekend!
I’m jealous of your 76 degree weather in February! 🙂 It’s still cold where I am, but at least these recipes you’ve rounded up are inspiring me to make something good for dinner. 🙂 #HomeMattersParty
It was the annual February tease! We’re back to mid 50s, which is not bad at all!
I love to bake on snow days. I think I do the majority of my baking in the winter. Lol! These recipes all look delicious. #HomeMattersParty
Jenny! You do the baking, I’ll do the cooking. We could be quite the pair! Thanks for stopping by!
Cooking and eating all day is very tempting for days at home. Love the recipes. #HomeMattersParty
Yes! I’m glad it doesn’t snow here in AVL very often!
It’s always nice to smell the comforts of cooking when stuck inside on a cold winter day! Thanks for sharing these recipes.
Okay, all those recipes look great, but that banana pudding looks amazing. I’ll have to try that for my hubby to see if it beats his nanny’s recipe! Thanks for sharing this inspiration at the #homemattersparty 🙂
