I’m the fairy godmother 💃🏼 of maximizing your time and creating unforgettable memories around your table.

📝 We edit out the mess of the overcomplicated dinner party, creating a sense of freedom in yourself to gather people around the table, anchored by good food.

You’ll quickly learn that easy and effortless are a thing you CAN have when entertaining at home. ((This isn’t your grandmother’s 1950s bridge club luncheon.))

I’m a firm believer that the kitchen and the table are the true heart of the home, and life and community are cultivated there.

Sharing a meal together is how we can love people well.

In my hands is one of my top five favorite books, The Art of Gathering. It’s filled with ways you can gather people well, and serve them. ((And no, it’s not *really* about dinner parties… it’s more about business gatherings in meetings and such.))

It feels like a good evening to stick a wheel of brie in the oven with apricot jam on top…

Y’all! This appetizer, snack, whatever time of day recipe is SO easy.

It’s 3️⃣ ingredients!

✅ Brie Wheel (I cut the rind off…)
✅ Apricot Jam
✅ Red Pepper Flakes

You pop it into the oven for about 10 minutes, or until it’s incredibly melty and delicious.

Serve it with a board filled with crackers and you’ve got an instant party!

These are the ingredients you should keep on hand for when people stop by the last minute.

((Do people even still do that?! Ugh, Rona! You ruin everything.))

IF someone were to stop by, having these on hand is a simple way to love your people well.

You get extra time with them while the brie bakes, and then you get to enjoy the theatrical cheese pull when scooping a serving onto your plate.

It’s a simple, yet impossibly amazing snack!

Serve this last minute or for a fancy cocktail party this Christmas season!

Oh, man! This is a GREAT episode—the Friends play a VERY competitive game of Football and learn lots of history about the Gellar family. 😬

What is it about Thanksgiving and playing football on the lawn that just goes together?? ((My family has actually never done this… we WATCH football…!))

Sooo, let’s chat about games + thanksgiving day. 🦃

Yes! There is a big football game on at some point.

But, do y’all play actual board games, etc?? 🎲

We did! And it was a highlight of most of my Thanksgivings.

You eat for a bit, play games, eat some more, play a few more games.

Something that works well is having several options for games. That way everyone doesn’t *has* to play that same game—unless that’s your MO as a family!

It’s kind of daunting to think about, isn’t it?!

🤯 Or do your palms get sweaty, and your heart starts racing?!

As an enneagram 3, I really enjoy planning for the future — I am driven by goals. 📈

📝 Writing down a goal and some action steps are what really melts my 🧈, and gets me excited for the days, weeks, years ahead.

I’ve been using Powersheets for several years now (since 2014!).

Year after year, I look through the goals I’ve set and think “Wow, I really have nothing to show…”

But!

2020 is the roaring lion we didn’t know we needed to wake us all up out of a very deep slumber. 🦁

It’s shown me that I HAVE accomplished a lot — that I *can* achieve my goals.

Little by little, seeds are planted, and they bloom through the messy dirt. 🌱

This Blueberry Smash Spritz is the thirst-quenching pick me up you need this evening!

Fresh blueberries are smashed with sugar, mint leaves, and a slice of lemon. 🍋

Then it’s shaken with @teremana tequila and @cointreau_us for a tart cocktail that will make your skirt fly up! 💃🏻

Top with some soda water, a sprig of mint, lemon slice, and some frozen blueberries.
