How to Grill Chicken on a Gas Grill

to tender, juicy perfection!

Here are a few grilling tips for cooking the most tender grilled chicken, every time!

Start with a CLEAN grill! You can use a safe grill cleanr after you've grilled up your tasty meal, so it's ready for the next time.

Once your grill is clean, you'll want to preheat your grill for a good 10-15 minutes before adding your chicken. It's helpful to oil a paper towel and use tongs to oil up the grates, just to ensure nothing sticks!

Lay your chicken on the grill, and don't touch it. Just let it be! I leave the grill lid OPEN for a good 4 minutes so that the proteins in the chicken coagulate, and you get those undeniable grill marks.

When you go to turn your chicken, if it doesn't release easily, leave it alone! It will release when it's ready. It just needs a few more minutes.

After 4-5 minutes of open grilling, turn each piece of chicken a quarter turn to get the cross-hatch grill makrs you love! Pay attention to what your grill is doing. Is the chicken cooking too quickly? Is it too hot? Any flare ups??

When the quarter-turned chicken has grilled for 2-3 minutes, you can flip the chicken over, and close the grill. You'll only need maybe 5 more minutes, depending on how thick your chicken is.

Once the chicken reads 160˚ internally, you can remove it from the grill, and let it rest with tin foil over top so it cooks all the way through to 165 internal temperature.
