Chocolate Sauce Brownies

 one pot wonder fudge brownies, that taste like homemade chocolate sauce.

These brownies are ridiculously easy to make.  So easy, I made them. And had a pleasant time! If you know me in real life, you know how I loathe baking. However, these are so simple, use one pot (yes, a pot.), and are super quick — using ingredients you probably have in your pantry now! Yay.
Chocolate Sauce Brownies
1 cup melted butter { that’s two sticks for anyone not from the South 😉 }
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 medium eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup flour
Fleur de Sel salt for the top
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the two sticks of butter, sugar, and cocoa powder together. Be sure to stir this until the sugar has melted. No grainy look! Whisk until it is smooth and shiny.
Turn the heat off, and add your vanilla and salt. In a separate bowl, temper eggs with a little of the chocolate sauce. Add all four eggs in, whisking vigorously, as not to create scrambled eggs!
Add flour and stir until combined.
Pour into buttered 9×13 pan & bake at 350˚ for about 20-25 minutes. I use a convection oven, so my time was closer to 20 minutes. You want the edges to have just pulled away from the sides of the pan, but the center to be slightly soft, but not jiggly. ((Here, “real” bakers are rolling their eyes with my play by play…)) When the brownies come out of the oven, sprinkle some fleur de sel salt on top. It makes all the difference!

Serve warm with vanilla (or butter pecan seen here!) ice cream!
Happy Baking, Sweet Friends!
